Balch's Fish Fry

Always have a great meal but the music they had on was awful.

Parking can be a problem. Food is good with large portions. Staff is professional and friendly.

Had the lobster roll which was mostly full of mayonnaise. Not what I call tasty. The food took forever to come. Waitress was good. The problem was in the kitchen.

I loved the RI clam chowder. Best I ever had. Should of purchase a quart or two to go to bring home after my travels. I also order the Fried shrimp as a little snack. It was good except that it would have looked and even tasted better if the kitchen staff butterflied the shrimp. It takes time, I know, but it make the fried shrimp curl up and look bigger and better and has a nicer crunch. The fried shrimp, even tho it was frozen (as most are) looked like a half moon. Not appetizing to me at all.

Great Food! Off the beaten path an so good for it! Steamed shrimp stuffed portobello, Asian salad and crab cake made a perfect dinner
