We tried the butternut squash soup, stuffed cherry peppers with figs, and the pasta, all of which were delicious. The cocktails made with their imperial ciders were particularly unique and flavorful. After dinner, we enjoyed sitting by a cozy fire with our ciders.
I visited last night on a Thursday evening and made a reservation just half an hour before dinner, which was incredibly easy. Fortunately, it was a calm night, and we were able to sit outside for our meal. The atmosphere is charming, and I can definitely see myself coming back often in the fall. The food was outstanding—“fantastic” doesn’t even begin to capture it. The presentation was exquisite, and the flavors were exceptional. I had the vegan option, the lion’s mane mushroom, which could easily be one of the best meals I’ve ever had. That mushroom crab cake is truly magical, and I can’t wait to return to order it again. My husband tried the scallops, and he thoroughly enjoyed his dish as well. I do wish there were more vegan appetizer options, as I would have loved to sample more of their menu. However, I’m really looking forward to coming back for their vegan pizza on a weekend. The cider was, of course, delicious. Our server, whose name I unfortunately can’t recall but who mentioned he was a manager, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they offer at Ironbound. It was a lovely bonus to chat with him alongside our amazing meal. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars. I don’t usually write reviews, but it was just too good not to share!
In the fall of 2021, Ironbound not only met but exceeded my already high expectations. The atmosphere, staff, food, and beverages were all exceptional—truly a first-class experience without any pretentiousness. I highly recommend visiting; you won't regret it. Fast forward to October 2023, and Ironbound Farm is still hitting it out of the park. The staff, ambiance, food, drinks, and products continue to impress.
We opted to sit outside for cider and lunch. We ordered a flight of cider along with an additional tasting of their pumpkin cider, which had a lovely fall aroma but could have used a touch more sweetness. The tasting portions were generous and enjoyable, though they fell just short of being exceptional; they needed a bit more flavor and sweetness. As for the food, it was excellent! I tried the bone marrow, which was absolutely delicious, while my wife enjoyed the burger, claiming it was one of the best she’s ever had. I would recommend stopping by any time of year, but do keep in mind that they stop outdoor seating in November.
I had a fantastic experience! The service was excellent, and I really enjoyed the live music on Friday night. It's a kid-friendly place, too. The food and drinks were delicious, especially the beet mocktail. I can't wait to go back and sit outside, though both the indoor and outdoor seating provide a lovely, relaxed vibe.
