The Hero of Waterloo Hotel

The Hero of Waterloo is a great way to spend some time in and the music is brilliant with Valda probably Australia's oldest performer at 90 years of age in Australia's oldest pub . She has been singing playing there for 39 years . The food is the best and can be eaten in the cosy restaurant or in the bar area

I love this place!! What a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon – friendly staff and a perfect pint of Guinness. It's great with friends, or to just sit at the bar, listen to some tunes and watch the world go by.

A quick early dinner after a wedding. The bar guys were awesome. We ordered food at the bar. They said take a seat in the bar or outside. After we did 2 unsuccessful laps looking for a place to sit, they noticed and told us they would open the restaurant rooms upstairs but we had to be done by 6 because that's then it opens. Absolutely awesome customer service. The food was just as good. I actually took the time to thank the bar staff in person afterwards.

My grandfather's watering hole back in the 1920s and 30s. How could I not love it and highly recommend it?! It has a great Irish and colonial feel. The staff are great and friendly too. The food is fab.

Went to this pub 34 years ago when I was in the army, deployed to guard Vic barracks for tow weeks, me and a few other soldiers had a great night and I said I would always go back there if I went to Sydney live in adelaide it bought back some great memories and had a real pub feel, ya just want to go there and drink a few beers and have a good a old chin wag with ya mates! It hasn't change a bit!
