Don Cangrejo Cantina - Milwaukee

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening after seeing their ad on Facebook. Unfortunately, they did not honor any of the specials they had advertised. The service was lacking, even though there were only one or two other tables with customers during our visit. The food was average at best. I had high hopes, but left without any interest in returning.

Dinner was good taco's ? we're good as well so was the burrito, nice and spicy ?,

How can this place have 4 stars. Took husband and grown kids for his BD. Talk about Wow...and not in a good way. Food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils, pitcher of Margaritas came with no glasses...instead we were given red solo cups....really???. Only one waitress working who did not speak English therefore even ordering was difficult. We were in such disbelief we laughed our butts off! I would definitely not recommend.

We went for lunch at 12:30pm and found ourselves as the only customers in the restaurant, similar to other reviews. The food was tasty, although there were a few service hiccups that were quickly resolved. The peel and eat shrimp appetizer was large and delicious, while the tacos (chorizo, steak, and pork) were all excellent with the chorizo standing out. The chicken enchiladas in red sauce were on point as well. Overall, the food was good but the atmosphere felt a bit awkward, as if we were intruding on something else.

Great experience! Authentic Mexican! Great service! Bayardo was wonderful! Can't wait to come back!
