Visited Wards to celebrate an anniversary. Food was good, but not great. The prime rib was very fatty, and the taste was just okay. Our server was excellent and very engaging with our party. It was great that the restaurant provided a huge piece of carrot cake to help celebrate the anniversary. That was a great touch! One unusual thing was that the restaurant was very empty with only one couple remaining in the dining area at 8pm. In our past visits, it was a much livelier place to dine. Hopefully, this was just an anomaly.

For the price we paid and for expecting a fine-dining experience at a top-notch steakhouse, we were pretty disappointed. The steaks were ok but lacked good flavor. The scallops had no sear on them which is what you expect at such an establishment. The most disappointing dish was the cajun mac cheese. It was mush! Very overcooked and had no cajun flavor whatsoever. We had the waitress take it back to get it re-made but she told us it will come out exactly the same. I hate to say it but this place is sliding as of late. There is a reason it was not busy. Not sure we will race back.
