I had an incredible experience at this restaurant, from the talented chefs and attentive service to the enjoyable company of our fellow diners. It was the perfect blend of intimacy and camaraderie for a memorable dining experience.
My partner and I had our first dining experience at Kaiseki Furukawa and it was to celebrate our two year anniversary. The staff customized the menu with a "Happy Anniversary!" message for us, which was a nice touch. We were impressed with the overall experience. The ingredients used were clearly top quality and each dish was carefully crafted. We opted for the sake/wine pairings which enhanced each course perfectly. Our favorite dishes were the Tsukuri, Shokuji, and Mizugashi courses. The sashimi in the Tsukuri course was incredibly fresh and delicious. The tiny sardines in the Shokuji course were a pleasant surprise and paired well with the rice and pickled veggies. We were excited to try the famous Japanese muskmelon in the Mizugashi course and it exceeded our expectations with its juicy and sweet flavor. We had requested no octopus in our reservation and the staff were accommodating in providing alternatives. They also noticed that my partner is left-handed and consistently placed his utensils and dishes on his left side, a thoughtful gesture. It was the attention to these small details that made our experience special. At the end of the meal, we were given a cute Polaroid photo as a keepsake. We highly recommend visiting Kaiseki Furukawa with an open mind, sense of curiosity, and an empty stomach to fully appreciate the surprises that await you.
Incredible. I waited a long time for them to reopen. It is a must-try. Only 2 seatings on Tuesdays.
Been to kaiseki multiple times and it's always been an utmost pleasure. It's a wholesome experience you will find nowhere else.
