Bidra med feedbackFood is not as good as I hoped. Every dish was either overly salty, flavorless, too oily, or just not great. But, the staff was kind and knowledgeable, and the space is quite nice. Go once to see if you like the food, take in the great views, and enjoy the vibe.
Great food, went for the chef's tasting menu. Small portions but it's to be expected. Really great mocktail pairings/drinks in general.
We've been eagerly anticipating our first visit to Owamni....but should have gone another time. It was my birthday, and we thought the 13 course testing menu would offer a nice celebration. We were both disappointed. A meal of 13 courses sounds like a lot, but several were simply tiny bites (a cup of warm tea and a very small amuse bouche on our way to the table counted as the first two). The food was all lukewarm (my biggest complaint). The sweet dishes were overly sweet (e.g. corn soup), and the savory dishes lacked adequate seasoning to make them interesting. There were a few dishes I enjoyed (eg the braised elk was fantastic), but I found flaws with many of the dishes. I think what they're attempting is a lovely idea, but it was just poorly executed. The simultaneous arrival of everyone for a single sitting just seemed to stress out the staff at first. The team there was amazing, however, and were a bright spot to the meal. Afterwards, my husband apologized for the disappointing birthday and was already thinking of ways to try again. What a sweetheart.
Literally the best restaurant I've ever been to ? I say this also because of my food allergies along with my gf and we really don't have to worry at this restaurant ???
It’s a unique experience of new flavors!! Not a place I would go all the time for dinner, but a place you will love to try and will enjoy!! The sweet potatoes are out of this world!!
