Pimento Jamaican Kitchen - Minneapolis

The food at this restaurant is delicious. There was no wait for a table. The Curry chicken is the best I have ever had at a Jamaican restaurant. The dishes are full of flavor and the portions are generous. I made sure to stop here first when I arrived in Minnesota. I always make it a point to try Jamaican restaurants when I travel to new cities and states.

Pimento is a great spot for authentic Jamaican cuisine. During my visit, they were offering a special of fried fish that was perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The One Love Special included spicy jerk chicken, pork, plantains, and coconut rice, all of which were delicious and had a nice level of heat that enhanced the experience. I look forward to trying their rum bar next time I visit. Overall, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen is a solid choice for tasty food and a great atmosphere.

The Jamaican food at this restaurant is delicious and authentic. The service is super fast and the food is always fresh. You must try the plantains, they are like a dessert. The braised ox tail was savory and rich, and the sauce was amazing. The Jamaica pastries were hot, fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. This place is great for takeout and catering. They even have an open garage door to let fresh air in from the street.

Date night for some Jamaican cuisine! We made reservations for the Mpls location, and they have an awesome patio space. My husband had the jerk pork and I had the jerk chicken, both were delicious, but the pork was more moist. The spice level was enough to make our noses run, but not too spicy that we couldn't enjoy the flavor. Great rice and peas, which are my favorite. We'd definitely go back, the service was fast, I don't think we waited 5 minutes before our entreêsarrived.

We made reservations, but didn't need to. It was unclear which door to go in. We opted for the Rum Bar where they serve you over the fast-casual, order-at-the-counter side. Food and service were great. Music felt deafening for a 6:30pm dinner. DJ was in full swing like one would have at a night club. Great music! But made it hard to chat over dinner.
