Grillstube - Mittenwald

Very friendly staff we came to know during our visit. Wonderful views from outside. Little grill with good selections. One cold evening our server suggested 'yagertea' warmed you right up! Great suggestion!!

We came for an authentic german meal and what we got was £25 euro cooked from frozen oven meal. Worse than school dinners.

This is a very small restaurant. I was hungering for french fries, so I opted for the schnitzel and fries chalked on their blackboard. It was great -- hot too heavy and very tasty. The french fries were a bit salty though.

We went in here after a long day and had a really good meal, simple food cooked well! German food is all about getting the basics right and this place does it!

We stopped here for a light lunch (if there is such a thing in Germany!) and had excellent gulaschsuppe--one of the best bowls I've had in Bavaria! The service is friendly and cheerful--seems like a family operation--and your food is freshly made after you order. We'd been there before and liked it, and remembered as soon as we entered. I'll definitely go back for more gulaschsuppe! (and beer....)
