1877 Pasta & Wine Bar - MODBURY

We we're looking to have dinner at a nice restaurant, which is not a simple task with an active toddler and a newborn, I'm glad we chose 1877. The staff were fantastic, they were very accommodating with our children, they gave our toddler coloured pencils to draw with and the childrens menu was one of the best I've seen in Adelaide.The food was excellent, the beef cheeks and chef selection platter for dessert were​ the highlights. I look forward to returning.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was second to none. A wonderful and very special night in a beautiful restaurant with a lovely ambiance...the cocktails were also perfection.

We had been to this restaurant before and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was on a Saturday when the restaurant was really busy. This visit was on a Wednesday night and I must say the service was really good but the food not so. We all had entree's and they were all average and for mains 2 of us had the Gnocchi special and it was served on a skinny plate very small and tasteless not to mention it cost about $28 . My daughter couldn't even eat hers. The others had another pasta dish and said it was ok. The drinks were very expensive. We didn't bother having sweets there .. not happy won't be back in a hurry

Dined here on Saturday night, greeted by the lovely Elisa. Very friendly staff, ordered a couple of entrees to share between the 4 of us and when they came out we just knew we were in for a treat tonight. Mains came out, two of us had the gnocchi ragu and it was sensational. Wife had the pork belly, yum and friend had the baked chicken breast, beautiful. Couldn't even think about desserts however the ladies were tempted, got to try the deconstructed berry pie. What amazing food by chef Giorgio and his team.

1877 Pasta and Wine Bar provides high quality food with fresh ingredients. The accompanying wine options were mainly local and reasonably priced and options were available for non-wine drinkers.Service was attentive and professional on most occasions, although response times were noticeably slower on Saturday night when the restaurant was full.Prices are reflective of the quality and slightly higher than many other eateries in the area. However, it must be said the quality of the meals stood far above any others available close by.
