Gusto Self Service - Modica

We were slightly late leaving Modica Alta and finding somewhere to eat was proving a challenge, when having given up and heading home, we chanced by Gusto on the SS115. The number of cars outside suggested worthy of investigation. As the name indicates, cafeteria style with a range of hot meals, salads, drinks et cetera with 'dish of the day ' on the board as you enter. We had two main meals, salad, breads, two drinks, all for the princely sum of €12.50. I don 't pretend it 's 'haute cuisine ' but hey, at that price, it 's okay, and in pleasant modern surroundings. Very clean modern loos downstairs, for which there is a lift if required.

This place is always busy and full of locals, which is a good sign. For a cooked lunch, which isnt always easy to find in Modica, its a great choice. Good range of salads and antipasti, at least 2 or 3 pasta dishes, come cooked to order, and excellent meats for secondi. Generous portions at good prices. Grab your tray and fill up. A light and airy restaurant space, but it can get a bit noisy at peak times. ample parking.

I had lunch with a great rally (bus on floors.) we were served very quickly. the very spacious room allowed to have lunch very comfortably. the staff, manager in primis, very useful. the room is very clean and very bright. recommended!
