This is a great little place to stay, rooms are well kept and clean. Before we moved to the area this was the place we would always stay, because it was always a pleasurable experience.

Great communication, easy check-in , clean room, and pretty prime location I personally think. The only downside I have to say is there 's a strong musty smell in the room we stayed in, this is an older motel from the 1950 's and they are actively working on renovations but the musty smell stuck to our clothing even upon returning home after our trip. This is clearly just a personal opinion as I know some people won 't even notice the smell. There is a restaurant across the street café next door which is perfect, highly recommend checking them out if you 're staying at White House Lodging. Overall I would recommend staying here!

What a nice surprise! Perfectly located for exploring the historic towns or going further north towards Copper Harbor. Quiet and cozy, this renovated motel is very clean and trimmed out in U.P. decor. You really feel like you've moved into the area for a little bit...Plenty of amenities, including extra toothpaste, toothbrushes, coffee, soaps, shampoo, conditioner. Even better a fridge that works amazing! Kept our ice packs frozen and our drinks cold (You don't see that in many top of the line chain hotels these days). You're within a short stroll to breakfast or dinner options. I don't want to forget to mention the easy check in process, we rolled in around 1 AM after a long drive from Minnesota that evening and were able to code right into our room. The price was perfect too, what a tremendous value! (We used airbnb to book)
