I work on the road and this restaurant offers the closest experience to a home-cooked meal.

Upon arrival, the restaurant appeared closed with no cars in the parking lot, causing some concern. However, it turned out they were indeed open and became quite busy. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. It's worth asking about prices and ordering options, as there are no signs or posted prices. I ordered turkey wings, rice, lima beans, collard greens, and cornbread, while my boyfriend had baked chicken, rice, cabbage, and okra. Our total bill, including drinks, came to a cheap $29. I docked a star due to the young lady at the register - one employee was friendly, but the other seemed more interested in her cell phone than assisting customers. The iced tea wasn't as good as the punch, so when I requested a refill, I asked for more ice in the melted drink. Unfortunately, I only received more punch and no added ice, plus a second iced tea. The employee never seemed to put her phone down. We also ordered red velvet cake later, which had good flavor but was dry. The cornbread was actually better than the cake. Despite these issues, I plan to return and would recommend this restaurant to others.

We were traveling from Folly Beach and decided we wanted soul food. Let me tell you this place did not disappoint. My lord it was sooooo good n the damn lemonade BOFFUM were delicious. Will definitely return

I visited this restaurant while on vacation in the area to enjoy some delicious soul food. The ordering process was quick and the servers were generous with portions, ensuring we had plenty of food on our plates without skimping on the sides. I opted for the veggie plate while my family ordered the hamburger steak and chicken wing dinners, all of which were delicious. The flavors of the dishes really stood out. The atmosphere was laid-back, with smooth jazz music playing, adding to the overall positive experience. It was clear why there was a steady flow of customers coming in to dine.

The best soul food in Berkeley County. Food always tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned! I recommend this restaurant!
