Mexico Viejo - Moneta

I don't understand why so many people have complaints about this restaurant. Honestly, I really love it. It's undoubtedly some of the best Mexican food in the area. The servers are consistently friendly and incredibly patient, even with the most indecisive guests (like my grandparents). They offer truly authentic Mexican cuisine (and by that, I mean more than just hard-shell tacos) and the Camarones Yucatan are always delicious whenever I visit. Additionally, the scratch-made margaritas and guacamole are absolutely amazing. The ambiance and the lakeside location make it even more special.

Incredible experience! This was my first visit, and I came with my friend and my newborn. The music was so soothing that he slept the entire time. The Taco Pastor with its hot sauce was absolutely SPECTACULAR! We ordered the Tropical Colada and expected it to be served in glasses, but instead, we got massive frozen pineapples filled and beautifully decorated. The service was fantastic, and the food was outstanding. I’d give it 10 stars!!!

If you're looking for fresh Mexican cuisine on SML, this is the spot to visit. The food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

Came in today “Saturday” and the place was slammed, but our experience was still amazing! The drinks were brilliant “Jalapeño Margaritas” and the service was excellent! Yes, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, but it was understandable given the crowd of people in this place! Come on! Kudos

This Mexican restaurant out classes all others in our area. The cheese sauce is thick, not watered down,made with Land o'Lakes cheese. The margaritas are wonderful! The food is great... a little more pricey, but not unreasonable. The salsa always tastes the same... they don't go overboard on the heat or the cilantro. The service is excellent and the noise level doesn't leave you deaf. Best of all, the music is modern Hispanic, not Polka Mexican. It's just a great place and I recommend everyone check it out. Ask my husband, I'm not an easy sell.
