Angelo's Fish - Monmouthshire

The restaurant is very expensive, the portion sizes are small and the chips were dry and may have been reheated. A basic pie costs £2.85 and the rest of the menu also seems to be expensive. It is not worth the money.

Lived in Magor for nearly a year but never tried this fish and chip shop until now. I have to say its the best fish and chips that I have had for a very long time. Cooked to perfection and top quality fish, will be using this shop more often from now.

We called here for a chippy tea while staying nearby, the food was tasty and the service was fast and friendly.

Pulled off the motorway for some fish and chips at 8pm on a Fri evening and found Angelo’s on the map. The fish was delicious- lovely white large flakes, with a tasty batter and the chips were really nice too. Well worth it.

Good here is more than adequate (it’s fish n chips not cordon bleu) but they make customers feel like a nuisance. Have had this experience a couple of times but when you’ve waited 10 minutes and realise you’ve not even had the staff/owner make eye contact with you you realise that they don’t want to make you feel welcome.
