Angelo's Fish - Monmouthshire

The restaurant is very expensive, the portion sizes are small and the chips were dry and may have been reheated. A basic pie costs £2.85 and the rest of the menu also seems to be expensive. It is not worth the money.

I don't live in the area, but my aunt does. As a special treat, I often buy her fish and chips for lunch. I have to admit, the food has always been tasty and the staff are friendly. However, last night on 15/12, the food and service were not up to par. The curry was stored in pots on the counter without lids and then reheated in the microwave (I think they forgot to warm ours up because it was freezing cold). We only received about 10 chips each. For £19.00 for two fish and chips, this is not good value. The staff were not very helpful or friendly. Additionally, it was inconvenient that they only accepted cash, as not many people carry cash nowadays. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.

I went to this restaurant last night and enjoyed their crispy chips that were not dry like some others. The fish tasted fresh and not overly fishy like in many other places. The sausage was also good. They also serve pizza and dessert. I would definitely recommend it.

Lived in Magor for nearly a year but never tried this fish and chip shop until now. I have to say its the best fish and chips that I have had for a very long time. Cooked to perfection and top quality fish, will be using this shop more often from now.

We called here for a chippy tea while staying nearby, the food was tasty and the service was fast and friendly.
