Bidra med feedbackWhile on holiday in a very wet tent, Pizza Express saved us from the hassle of cooking. We decided to head to Monmouth for a taste of civilization the Pizza Express way. Even though our 5-year-old had never been to the restaurant before and was set on a different favorite spot, one margherita pizza later and he had a new top choice. The restaurant, like others we've visited, was stylish and unique, housed in a former car showroom from the 1920s. Instead of ignoring this history, Pizza Express embraced it by featuring large blueprints of vintage cars on the walls. It was a nice touch and added to the overall dining experience. Kudos to Pizza Express for preserving history and avoiding a generic corporate atmosphere. And I'm happy to report, there was no engine oil on my pizza!
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We checked the website and it stated that it would open at 11:30, but when we arrived at that time, it was closed. Despite seeing people inside, we waited for 15 minutes and it remained closed with no one acknowledging our presence.
