Carl Anthony Trattoria - Monroe

As of January 2023, Carl Anthony's has closed, and a new Italian restaurant has taken its place in that location.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is permanently closed. When we visited a month ago, they were only offering takeout, but now they have shut their doors. I didn't want to leave a star review since the establishment is no longer in operation, but I am required to give a rating in order to post this comment.

I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of photos, but this restaurant is fantastic for a date night or family outing. Their happy hour is one of the best in the area. I usually never order specials, but I have tried one at this place multiple times and have never been disappointed. In the picture are the pork special and the crispy burrata, both of which were excellent. Even though I normally don't eat seafood, I tried the balsamic calamari at my husband's recommendation and found it surprisingly delicious and not chewy. While I wouldn't order it again personally, it was a good option for someone like me who usually avoids seafood. Don't forget to try the espresso martini or the s'more cocktail with a freshly fired marshmallow - so tasty! Our kids also love this place just as much as we do.

Excellent food, the Sunday gravy dinner was outstanding and so was the service and the flaming torch candle on my desert for my birthday celebration was amazing

This is my home away from home. The food, staff, drinks, cleanliness and service are impeccable. I love that you can order half of any meal as well as create your own dish if you're craving something not on the menu. Happy hour specials are awesome too!
