Longhorn Steakhouse - Monroe

Steak are getting smaller and smaller for mor money.You are better of being you filet at sams club or so and prep it than put it on your grill for excample.

Our waitress, Abby, was great. She anticipated our every need and provided before we could even ask.The food was prepared exactly on point. I got the Lamb Chops, hubby got the Salmon, and mom got a flows filet. Thanks to Abby and the kitchen we had a most pleasurable Sunday evening. And for those wondering, yes we spoke to the manager and let him know how good everything was.

Went at 3:30 hoping there would not be a crowd. She wanted to seat us right outside of the kitchen (the restaurant was half empty), I said no not happening. It took about 10/15 minutres before our waiter came over to us. As soon as he left to get our waters a family of 6 were seated directly next to us (like where the isles should be, but they shoved in several long tables) with a small baby. The baby was loud, I wanted to move my boyfriend said ignore it. They kept taunting and encouraging this baby to yell and try to talk, I'm talking a 3 or 4 month old. Gave our order and I got my Texan Margarita, after two or three sips there was SO much ice that melted, the entire drink was ruined. Got the Spinach Dip, SO SALTY, only ate less than half. Most of the meal, not worth the price. BBQ Chicken Breast, tender but inedible because of the SALT, Grilled Shrimp, SALTY and Dear God it should have been thrown away weeks ago. It tasted SO BAD, I spit it out and I didn't eat any of it. The Pork Chops, SALTY, but okay, rather thin. Brussels Sprouts were so huge there is no way they could have cooked thru. Sirloin steak has no business even being on the menu if you are going to serve shoe leather, and that is medium rare. Needless, I am done with this place. This has been our Go To place, but no more. I tired of this restaurant thinking SALT is a secret seasoning.

We ordered the wild west shrimp, and they were swimming in grease. Normally the steaks are good, but tonight they were not. Quality seems different. I ordered a filet, medium. It came out rare. It lacked flavor and was not as tender as usual. My friend ordered a ribeye, medium, and it was very thin and well done. Service was good. Will not be back for a while.

The food was well-prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Our server, Annabelle, was outstanding! We will go back!
