Syrah - MONTECARLO

Very modern wine resort with a great restaurant that had really good service the biffsteca Fiorentina was amazing but a bit too much even for 2 people so our dog had a very nice treat. The wine was also very good. I can recommend this place.

The Syrah Restaurant was not our favorite on our Italy vacation but, the view was exceptional. The servers/staff was some what “snooty” and unaccommodating. We were staying on property at this winery with the Syrah as the restaurant. You were unable to get a bottle of wine due to the “hours” of the restaurant. We arrived for our reservation on time and was greeted like we were unexpected. The staff did not know English very well so, it was difficult to communicate our questions. However, the view, made everything better!

Ate here whilst staying at the hotel. Not sure they understand the meaning of Customer Service. Surly Restaurant Manager who totally ignored us throughout our meal despite there being only 4 other tables occupied. Had to ask for water and menus as he was far too busy talking to a table of Italians that he obviously knew. Food was average. Had a far better experience when we travelled up the hill the next evening and ate in Monte Carlo/. Will not be back!!

Interessante la visita in cantina e molto carina la degustazione, 35 euro per 6 vini più tagliere di salumi e formaggi.
