The Exchange - Montgomery

The exchange has excellent food and great music but tonight the service was extremely slow due to the fact that there were only two servers and they just couldn't handle the amount of people there. Also the outside bar was not open because there was no one to work the bar. The food was outstanding. Pimento cheese with warm naan bread and collard green dip for appetizers and NY strips and a large Caesar salad. Bless her heart, she done the best she could but the caliber of the Renaissance let me down because they need to get some help in the bar. The band was great.

The Exchange is an excellent place to unwind either after work or after a long day spent attending conference sessions. With live music most every night, great drinks and quality food ? you'll enjoy your evening at The Exchange in Downtown Montgomery.

It was very nice. The drinks are a little pricey for the amount of alcohol received. Fire pits was really nice on the cool night. Live music was good. Food was okay. Good place to sit and unwind for the day.

We dropped by after hearing the live band, who were fantastic! The bartenders were friendly, which is always a nice touch. We also sought recommendations on cigars and received excellent customer service.

I hadn't been to this restaurant since the pandemic, but this was my third visit. During the pandemic, I loved the live music and the full menu available at the Exchange Bar. However, this time was quite different; they had a very limited menu. If I wanted their famous fried chicken, which is excellent, I had to forego the music and go into the restaurant instead. The waiter checked with the manager, and it turned out that this was the rule — very inflexible. I then decided to order it 'to go' so I could take it to the bar, and that was apparently allowed. While the live music, service, and drinks were great, their strict interpretation of the rules was disappointing. They should consider making the full menu available in the bar to enhance the customer experience.
