Black Stallion Steakhouse - Monticello

My wife and I both ordered our meals carefully to avoid a repeat of the incident from four years ago; I chose the sirloin tips, while she ordered the sirloin steak, along with a starter. The waitress struggled to keep up with drink orders for all 16 of us. To make matters worse, my steak arrived before the appetizer. I informed her that I did not want to be charged for the appetizer since my steak had arrived first. The appetizer was then taken away. After that, when we asked for a1 sauce for the group, we received only two plastic containers, barely enough for two portions. Additionally, my wife didn’t receive her meal until we inquired about it. It turned out that someone at the end of the table had been served her plate by mistake, and they tried to give it to her after it had already been eaten. I insisted that she receive a replacement for her meal due to this mix-up. After waiting over 40 minutes, my wife finally received her steak, which did look good. Naturally, we did not pay for her meal or the appetizers. I paid for my own and we decided to leave and go to Sonic instead.

The steak is sourced locally and is always tender. They use fresh vegetables consistently. It's a family-friendly place with a wonderful atmosphere and great prices!

We are new to the area, and we’re really glad to have discovered this restaurant. We’ve eaten here a few times so far, and each meal has been excellent. The steaks are fantastic, and we’ve never had a bad experience. I do wish there were a few more items on the salad bar, though! The waitstaff is quick and incredibly friendly; they always keep our drinks cold. Don’t hesitate to dine here—I don’t think you’ll regret it!
