Sushi Shoten - Montréal

This restaurant offers high-quality sushi at a budget-friendly price. It is my favorite casual sushi spot in Montreal, and I have tried many others. The food is always delicious, fresh, and made to order with a good variety of combos. The soy sauce has a unique sweetness that pairs well with the sushi. The prices are surprisingly affordable, with two people able to eat well for around $15 at lunch and just a few dollars more at dinner. They also offer a large dinner special for two people, but I always have leftovers. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

I was extremely disappointed and felt ripped off after dining at this restaurant. I am visiting from the East Coast of Canada and was excited to find a place that offered both sushi and bubble tea. However, after spending an hour searching through DoorDash filters, I ended up choosing Sushi Shoten out of desperation due to hunger. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake. I ordered the Saumon Salmon roll, expecting a spicy salmon maki roll with tempura and avocado. Instead, I received a roll with a gelatinous wrapper (possibly a spring roll wrapper) and no rice, completely different from what I had expected. The menu descriptions were lacking, and there were no photos to assist in ordering. The Bubble Tea Fraise I ordered was supposed to be a Strawberry Milk Tea with boba, but it turned out to be a strange concoction that tasted nothing like what I had envisioned. The Vegetarian Miso Soup had a strange and almost burnt flavor, which was very unpleasant. The only redeeming factor was the Gyoza, which was okay but overpriced for only four pieces. I struggled to finish the salmon roll and gyoza, while the bubble tea and miso soup ended up being poured down the drain. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

This is one of the top sushi restaurants in Canada, with incredible staff who are very helpful. I will make sure to visit every time I am in Montreal.

Her volcano sushi was not really my favorite, and I felt that the smoked salmon and salmon were not fresh. but the owner at least is very dedicated to his craft and discusses the problem with them. andy hopes to bring fresh, tasty kitchen to the city. I would suggest to the customer to skip the vulcan. in the restaurant I would suggest changing the vulcanic recipe or getting another smoked salmon source. in the city there are many incredible smoked salmon, especially the plateau, and in the nosh bar, etc.

My new favourite sushi place! I placed an order for my birthday and everything was so delicious and fresh! And the staff was very friendly too. Highly recommended
