Storm King Distilling Co. - Montrose

SKDC has created some truly delicious liquors. After my sister and I hiked the south rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison, we didn’t want to finish our flight, so we decided to order virgin mixed drinks to enjoy with our favorite flavors. We highly recommend trying the Fuzzy Bunny!

This place serves exceptional locally made whiskey, tequila, vodka, and rum. The drinks are of the highest quality. You can even see the distillery from the cozy bar, and there's a sushi truck parked outside. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have whiskey sours, but the old fashioned ended up being an excellent substitute.

What a fantastic distillery! I truly loved the bartender's recommendation for a 'spicy' margarita. They have a jar filled with different peppers soaking in vodka, which adds an incredible kick to the drink!

I was passing through town and saw the ratings on this cocktail bar so we had to stop in for my birthday drinks. Ben is one of the best bartenders. These cocktails he made were some of the best of my life they make a lot of their own syrups and infusions from house grown herbs and locally grown produce. The cocktails don’t get fresher or more creative. Wow, this is a must stop!

Ben was great. Really knows his way around not only the spirits themselves but how to take wonderful local produce and that sun kissed flavor to your experience. Truly unique. Truly local. Truly delicious.
