Bidra med feedbackI really wanted a coffee and with everything else closed at 3pm couldn't believe my luck that this nice Cafe was opened. I also was able to get some local whisky ice cream which I had with my delicious coffee and wonderful service from the couple who run (and I expect own) the Cafe. Very nice people and I admit I happily switched from take away to dine in.
I had a great experience at this charming coffee shop in Dufftown. They offer a wide variety of delicious coffee, hot chocolate, tea, cakes, toasted sandwiches, panini, and soup. The coffee and hot chocolate were particularly impressive. Alison and Mark provided a warm welcome and were very knowledgeable about the area. I was pleased to see that they cater well to vegetarians and vegans. I highly recommend stopping by this coffee shop if you're in the area - you won't be disappointed.
We were looking for a light lunch after walking up Ben Rinnes. The place was empty when we came in, a bit strange in the middle of the tourist season. We had paninis and sandwichs, not bad but not much taste. Then cakes, same impression. It seems run by a couple, who is very friendly. Overall not bad but was disappointed.
My wife and I stopped off here after a successful climb of Ben Rinnes last Sunday. A ‘Coffee’ was well needed! Situated in a beautiful part of the country, the ‘Glassworks’ had a real localised feel to it and the two workers (possibly owners) were polite and welcoming. Inside, the layout was simplistic but promoted the local area amidst walls filled with portraits of animals and Highland scenery. The cafe was small but quaint. We ordered a ‘Flat White’, a ‘Mocha’, a ‘Cheese Scone’ and a slice of ‘Victorian Sponge’. No complaints with any of the items bar one minor issue my cake had a ‘Lemon Jam’ which I wasn’t too keen on. Personal preference only, everything was baked to a high standard. We recommend this business should you find yourself in the area definitely worth a visit after a bit of hill climbing!
Lovely welcome and fantastic coffee, better than Costa by a mile. Had a tasty panini and some lovely coffee cake. It also had lots of gorgeous crafts and artwork to choose from. It had a great atmosphere and is popular with the locals too. Well worth a visit.
