The Moray Walking Group gathers at this restaurant to begin and end their walks. We always enjoy a delightful cup of coffee or tea. The ambiance is welcoming and perfect for groups to chat freely.
As a group of friends we meet up once a week and usually sample a different cafe each week. Consistently the Eating Well in the Moray Leisure Centre,Elgin scores TOP marks. The homemade cheese scones plus other varieties are simply delicious. The daily homemade soup is fabulous. The homemade tray bakes are fantastic. The coffee and teas are of the highest quality. The poached eggs on toast and breakfasts in general are great. There is a variety of salads, paninis and toasties on offer too with chips or curly fries if you feel like making a beast of your self. Plus the staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is lots of table space inside and wheelchair accessible too. Loads of free parking outside. Only time to avoid is at lunchtime when the school kids descend like locusts for the delicious cheap eats on offer. Homemade soup with a crusty roll or oatcakes is less than £2 for a generous bowlful. A huge homemade cheese scones with butter and jam and a quality coffee is £3. Why get ripped off on Elgin High Street with poor service, lack of free parking and poor service when The Eating Well within the Leisure Centre offers homemade food, bakes and delicious coffee at a fraction of the price.
We always come here after a swim and love the coffee and cakes they offer. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty and affordable, and children are welcome. It's a great spot to visit when you're feeling hungry, even if you haven't been active.
Food prepared to order limited range but convenient to pool and ice rink. Ideal food fillers and snacks, teas and fancy coffees.
