Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I frequently visit this restaurant in the area, as it has become our favorite spot. The atmosphere is quirky, cozy, and relaxed, with great attention to detail. The food is delicious and creatively presented, and the service is flawless. We always feel warmly welcomed when we arrive. We are looking forward to returning and want to thank David, Sophie, and the team for always making our evening special and memorable.
I went to Hearth, the restaurant at the Old Mill Inn, for dinner this week and I have to say I was very impressed! The setting was lovely, the meal was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was excellent, efficient yet personal. We even received some recommendations for places to visit in Moray. When we travel up north again, we will definitely make sure to stop by Hearth again!
We were thrilled to dine at Hearth again on Friday evening and were greeted warmly. We had a tough time deciding on our meal as everything on the menu looked delicious. My husband chose the Trout with trout mousse, potato salad, and pickled cucumber, and he said it was delightful. I opted for the belly pork, which was sweet, juicy, and crispy, served with buttery mash and a delicious redcurrant glaze. For our main courses, we chose two favorites: the Biriyani Arancini with coconut curry sauce and crispy potatoes with salsa, and the Roe and Red Deer with a unique blueberry and bramble sauce with a hint of dark chocolate. We were quite full by this point, but decided to indulge in dessert. The Mango lassi with panna cotta and apple tart with cinnamon custard were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. The staff at Hearth are friendly and attentive, making for a lovely dining experience. Sophie and David truly deserve praise for the wonderful restaurant they have created. We highly recommend Hearth and can't wait to return.
During our family vacation in Scotland, we stumbled upon the Old Mill Inn and decided to dine at Hearth. Let me tell you, it turned out to be an absolute gem! Sophie and David welcomed us with open arms, making us feel right at home. They were incredibly accommodating, even with our requests, and that meant a lot to us. The place had a cozy vibe, and the food was simply top-notch. Every dish, from the fresh bread rolls to the perfectly cooked monkfish, was a delight. And that venison burger with haggis? Oh, it hit the spot. What stood out most was the genuine care Sophie and David showed to all their guests. It wasn't just us; they treated everyone with warmth and kindness. We're definitely planning to return for our next vacation. Sophie and David, thanks for making our evening so special. Hearth at the Old Mill Inn is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a warm welcome in the Scottish Highlands.
Over cooked and over priced so very disappointing. Portions were small. I’m not sure what this restaurant is trying to be
