Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Morehead City

I have ordered cakes from this DQ many times and they have all been great, but always plain white with minimal decoration. However, the last two times I received these beautiful cakes. I found out that Sarah is decorating these cakes because she enjoys it. Honestly, I am so blown away not only by this girls talent but also that she is willing to go above and beyond when it isn?t even asked of her. She was friendly and kind while taking my second cake order this month. In a time when people are doing the bare minimum, it was refreshing to see someone taking pride in their work and doing more than what was expected. I truly hope this DQ realizes what an amazing staff member they have with Sarah. I will be coming back for more cakes and will ask for her to decorate it each time.

Not impressed with the rotten banana in my banana split tonight. Who cuts a banana open and STILL serves it when it looks like this?!?! Plus the fact that I was the ONLY person in the vehicle, and the item was handed to me with no lid. What vacuous minded employee does that? I should've received with a lid, in a bag, with a spoon and napkins with a thank you. So, I won't be coming back. No ethical person would do this! ?

After ordering, I had walked outside real quick my teen son stayed inside to wait on our order. Some guy (employee) brings up our order literally asks my son did yall pay for this after seeing us pay for it! Like dude the order would not have even went through unless we paid for it! On top of that, we didn 't even get all of our order. But because we were traveling riding with family, by the time we realized that part of the order was missing, we were too far down the road to turn around. Plus I knew that if I went back up there that I would really be saying something to them because I was already disgusted with the tone of voice that was given to my son, which is why I left out of there so quickly without completely checking the order. But it 's all good because you can best believe that we will not ever be stopping at this location again! We had stopped at that location because it advertised a game room but of course the game room was closed. I do understand it being closed because of covid but what I don 't understand is why they are still advertising it if it is not open. And then not to mention my chicken tenders were so hard that we could barely even eat them. And the fries were hard and burnt as well. Chocolate dipped cone was the messiest I had ever seen in my life

We enjoyed our ice cream treats very much. However they kind of messed up part of our order and then displayed a bit of attitude when we asked them to fix it. Also, drive thru service only right now. Not a problem but be aware!

Always a fantastic place to visit. I've never been disappointed. The service is friendly.
