Verlie's - Morganfield

I went through Morganfield on my way from Evansville to Paducah one day. I noticed Izzy 's and thought to myself, Why don't you take a chance and try a local little town restaurant for lunch? I believe in the support of such places, and in this case I was glad that I did. Let me say first, the atmosphere is great. The place is loaded with the type of character and charm you cannot get from a corporate chain. The service was polite; the personal touches were wonderful. I had spaghetti with added chicken. It was pretty good, and at a very reasonable price. I will definitely eat there again. Remember, I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, so I can't give insights into their drinks selection. One could call a lack, but I think that's positive: I haven't seen a TV here. Maybe there was one somewhere, but if I didn't notice that. That's great. Whatever happened to the days when we could be happy to be just in a charming place without media overstimulation. Apparently these days are still alive at Izzy. Owner, please hold it like this!

Wow. This place is great! Inside decor is very interesting with all sorts of things to look at. An old style Italian style. We heard about Izzy's on google maps and had to try it. The spouse had a chicken salad on cranberry bread. She raved over how good it was. Came with a broccoli salad which was delicious, but too much, so she took some home. Looks like another meal. I had the ravioli with meat sauce, and oh my was it delicious! I don't normally eat just sauce, but I used the French bread to get every bite. It came with a spring salad and homemade Italian dressing. Perfect. Now, I really wanted to try the bourbon honey homemade ice cream, but, I was stuffed. I'm thinking we're going to have to make another trip just to try it! This is truly a gem. High dining in Morganfield, KY. Go figure. We couldn't eat fast food for the price. Our server was friendly and efficient. Funny too. I can guarantee we'll be back. Thanks so much!

One of the most romantic restaurants I have ever visited. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Food fresh cooked to order. Adequate portion and filling. Service was friendly and attentive. Very nice Italian Decor and clean. We will return.

We had Izzy's cater our wedding, and everything was incredible! The staff was fantastic, navigating the challenges of the pandemic with grace. The food was delicious, and all our guests raved about it. We absolutely love Izzy's and are so thankful for how they made our special day unforgettable!
