Homer's Soda Shop - Morganton

Yet again, the operating hours listed on Google were incorrect. The restaurant was supposed to open at 6:00 this evening, so three friends and I went to check it out. Unfortunately, it was still closed. We decided to go to a neighboring place for a glass of wine while waiting, hoping they were just running behind schedule. However, it turned out that they never opened at all. This has happened before, but it will definitely be the last time we attempt to dine there.

I love the vibe and the friendly staff at this restaurant. It's a trendy, modern bar that is perfect for a younger crowd. The only downside is that they need more space for guests!

We are very disappointed. I had planned to bring my husband here for his birthday, but when we arrived at 5pm we found out that the restaurant was closed and wouldn't open until 6pm. We waited, but even at 6pm they were still closed with no update on Facebook. Sadly, we had to take our business elsewhere.

You really can't beat the atmosphere of this place. The food is always excellent and the attention to detail on the unique menu both for food and drinks is truly superb. The night scene here is great but I like it even better on Sunday for a good casual brunch. Check it out anytime regardless!

Love the vibe, complete with classic arcade and video games from yesteryear, ideal for Gen Xers and Geriatric Millennials. One of the hipper spots in town. Bartenders are super friendly, as are the other folks who hang out there.
