Courtepaille - Mormant-sur-Vernisson

We were recommended by a local hotel and whilst the car park isn't the best the restauant was well worth the visit. The welcome was very warm and friendly and we, without a reservation, were able to select the table of our choice which was close to the large log fire and grill where the cooking of the meat took place. The menu was quite substantial and varied and we selected our courses the drinks having already been delivered. Whilst there were a few people in the restaurant when we arrived it very quickly filled up with hotel guests as well as locals which is always a good sign. We were able to watch our steaks being cooked, as well as all of the other meat dishes, which is reassuring and when they were served to us the result was stunning. Overall good food, excellent service and great value, all that is required to make a great restaurant. As it was just before Christmas we were also lucky enough to be visited by Santa Claus.

Nous avons commandé un plat de poisson simple et des pommes de terre, mais il a fallu plus de 50 minutes pour être servi et ils n'ont apporté que la vaisselle car...

Very good reception; cooking is qualitative and creative desserts (caramadeleine is worth a visit!)

Very happy with the reopening of our favorite restaurant, good courage for all employees soon
