Bidra med feedbackI was really craving some buns and ended up here. I loved the different choices that they had and got the three bun combo with two side. I tried the chicken, pork, and vegetarian buns and they were all delicious. The buns themselves are filled pretty well. The place wasn’t very busy when I went so the service was extremely fast. The food was really good and I was stuffed after the meal, all for about $8. Will definitely be going back.
It as worth driving all the way out here, just to eat. Buns Barn has a wide selection of things to eat, other than buns but you should definitely order buns. I ordered one of every kind of bun that they made. It didn’t matter if they were steamed, fried and regular, all of them were great but the teriyaki chicken was my favorite. I ordered a Taro Coconut Milk with tapioca pearls, it wasn’t overly sweet either. The taste and texture of the Taro milk was fun also, a great dessert drink.
The staff is friendly and the buns are delicious and cheap. I got the 6 steamed buns, which was enough to feed two. I went for three teriyaki chicken and three pork and both were fantastic. I highly recommend checking this new place out, you'll be glad you did.
Chinese street food done right. Buns barn is a small chinese food shop that specializes in chinese street food. I cannot say enough good things about this place. More info... This place actually sells asian street food at a reasonable price and great portion size (I 'm looking at you downtown Raleigh 'street food ' . Their pork and cabbage dumpling is one of the best I 've had. The bun is soft but firm and not too thick. The ratio of filling to bun is on point. The spicy noodles I got had chicken, pickled radish, and a lot of other toppings. The combo also included two tasy sides. The food came out fast. The staff were helpful. This will be a top recommendation for Chinese cuisine for me for many years to come if they keep things exactly the same.
Truly unique Asian street food. It's not easy to find this stuff on the menu anywhere else. We brought a foreign exchange student with us, and he vouched for the authenticity of the Bao. The staff are friendly and hard working. Glad to have this new local eatery near our house. Shout out to Kwan at the front counter for helping us navigate the menu and always bringing out food quickly!
