We had a great experience at this restaurant on our way through Pennsylvania. The building has an older, wood frame structure that may have originally been a house, with a large sign out front. There are at least 3 rooms for seating, including booths, counter seating, and slot machines in the main room, as well as tables in the other rooms. There is ample parking available. The bathrooms are clean and single occupancy. Dana, our server, was friendly and efficient. We were quickly seated and served hot Tetley tea in charming mugs. Our food arrived within about 10 minutes - I had bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancakes, while my husband had scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, and French toast. The eggs were slightly undercooked, but overall, we enjoyed our meal. The whipped butter was a nice touch, and the French toast was especially tasty, though my husband suggested it could benefit from some cinnamon. It seems like you can order breakfast or lunch all day, as diners around us were ordering both. Dana took good care of all the customers, and we will definitely be returning when we are in the area visiting a friend.
Something for everyone, Old Reliable Family food! Food is excellent reasonably priced, The there is enough variety on the menu to please everyone. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. The food was cooked the way I asked to be done. The Texas Sauce had an excellent flavor. The service was speedy. Our server gave us exceptional service and was very polite! Also plenty of parking. You won't leave there hungry!
Fantastic REAL food, wonderful service, friendly place, worth getting off the highway for. Try the Andrea salad and the chicken soup which is really delicious and home made.
We live very close to this restaurant and hadn't eaten there in over 10 years until I found their menu online one day. Now it has become our go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The chili is always available and homemade, and they also offer a variety of homemade soups daily. My favorite dishes are the French Dip and Manhattan Clam Chowder, but I am excited to try the Lasagna soup soon. The waitstaff is friendly and don't forget to save room for dessert or take it home to enjoy later. - AM from Spring Brook Township.
