Water's Edge Dining Room Lounge

Dinner on Monday, 8/29/22. The online menu checks before you select this restaurant. Beautiful variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and dinner type entrees. In the restaurant the dinner menu was completely different. Very limited options / ways. I chose chickens with broccoli. Bleck! Broccoli was mostly stems and hard, bitter. Rice and engraving. The friend chose Meat Tau. Meh! The waitress didn't really hear our wishes. Slowly!!! A kind of drama on another table: Management against customers!

Stopped on Sunday 9.4.22 for lunch and a couple of cocktails. Bartender was fantastic, got our drinks and let us look at the menu. At 1:50 he came over to say the kitchen staff just said they were closing down so we should get our order in which we did immediately. Kind of shocked they would shut down mid afternoon on a holiday weekend when the place seemed to be full. After about 30 minutes he went to check on our food to no avail and the kitchen staff ignored him. Another 20 minutes later and they still had not started our food. I felt bad for our bartender who was watching guests leave and wouldn’t make much money because the kitchen just doesn’t care one bit about the customers. Won’t go back. Save yourself the hassle and just go to Kurtz’s or the Courthouse Pub.

This place couldn't be more terrible. The service was horrendous and the food was was equally terrible. The sauce the salmon cakes were served on had the consistency of porridge. I actually had to ask what it was, The salmon cakes themselves were completely flavorless, The entire dish was unedible. The french onion soup was very good, however the overall experience was a complete disappointment. I was sad that I can't get that time in my life back. Do yourself a favor and drive right past the Water's Edge. The ambiance and view is certainly not worth your time or money.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch at this attractive, comfortable restaurant on the shore of Lake Michigan. BLT was excellent...as was our server, Heather!

Had dinner and breakfast here! Great service and food! Recommend eggs benedict, french toast for breakfast- fisherman feast and quesadillas for dinner!
