Shaw Smith - Mount Barker

I had an excellent experience! Our wonderful host, Ash, provided us with fascinating insights into the history of Shaw and Smith and their wines. I highly recommend the cheese pairing—it was fantastic! Thank you, Ash, for being so great!

Wine and the tasting was divine. Generous platters to compliment The similes were brilliant Alex and Lisa. We arrived towards the end of the day, they were inviting, had a great sense of humour and shared their wealth of knowledge of the Adelaide Hills and beyond.

We came for a wine flight and cheese tasting plate. We were not disappointed! Lachy the host was extremely accommodating and managed to squeeze us in despite how busy it was, very helpful. Our server was interesting and knowledgeable, and brought us two extra delicious wines on top of our tasting flight. If you go, and don't get the flight, the M3 Chardonnay is a must try! It pairs fantastically with the locally sourced double brie. Thank you Shaw and Smith, we will be coming again.

The whole Shaw Smith range are beautifully crafted wines. All handpicked, including the Sauvignon blanc which makes it the largest volume handpicked wine in Australia. The M3 Chardonnay remains a perfect example of the modern new world style, and the cellar door experience is delightful with a beautiful outlook across the vineyards, and a great tasting experience for me led by Lachlan who did a perfect job meeting me at my wine knowledge level. I'll be back.

It was a magnificent experience! The $20 wine flight is definitely worth it. The wines are exquisite, and the cheese is perfectly paired. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive.
