Abel's Lobster - Mount Desert Island

I had a delightful dinner at this restaurant. The price per person is between $50 and $100. The food was excellent, receiving a rating of 5. The service was also top-notch, earning a score of 5. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, also receiving a rating of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips and the Maine Blueberry Pie.

To find this restaurant, look for a big sign on the main road and follow the turn off past a working boat yard until you reach the water. There is no need for reservations; simply show up, line up, and get seated. The restaurant can accommodate up to 60 people inside, with the option of dining at picnic tables by the shore. It is recommended to arrive right at opening time (4:30 for dinner) as the place fills up quickly. Lunch hours are also available. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, recommending the Halibut which was cooked to perfection and served on a bed of seasoned great northern beans. The beans were creamy and delicious, almost stealing the show from the halibut. My companion had the lobster and also raved about it. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience.
