Carreta Mexican Fast Food

We are from TX but now live in TN. There use to be an amazing burrito place in TX that we have missed terribly. We happened on to this place today with no expectations. Wow! Their burritos were just as good as the ones back home. It's just a small, no frills place but totally authentic. They have homemade tamales too that we pre-ordered for my daughter's birthday. Can not wait to try them. They have breakfast burritos too that we're delicious!It's easy to miss. It's on Lebanon Pike on the right coming from Hermitage, a little before Mt. Juliet Road. Right across from Burger King. It's a hidden gem....trust me!

Best Mexican food in the area. Great service and great food. Call in ahead to pick for lunch or breakfast.

The food is plentiful and the prices are fair. However, everything we ate was covered in excessive onions. We went back a second time and everything was the same way despite asking for it otherwise. Not an onion fan! Aside from the strong pico and immense onions I feel like I would like this place. But, overall I think I will just stick to my go to Mexican restaurant.

Excellent breakfast Burritos hard on the potatoes... as I like them. Your BB would be a good reason to try them! Friendly staff and very helpful. They offer a ton of other dishes. Not a big fan of her avocado sauce (very salty), but overall the food is good. They are very generous with cheese in dishes, of which I find perfect.

Home to the best Burritos in Tennessee! The fish taco is incredibly so much taste and just made perfect. I'll get it every time! My fiancée gets the Carnitas Burrito and it's one of the best he ever had! Come by for a perfect Burrito when you're in the area!
