Top of the Range Licensed Cafe and Gallery

We discovered the 'Top of the Range' cafe as well as the Mt Macedon Cross. We had coffee and scones, which were ok but of great surprise was the brilliant collection of 'The Seekers' memorabilia provided by Athol Guy found located in the cafe. Our blustery walk to the Mt Macedon Cross provided us with interesting historical information. The huge cross was generously built by the Grollo Brothers at their own expense. Amazing!

The location is fantastic, but that's about it. If you have just walked up the mount it's good to stop and get a drink or snack. But there are much better places to go for good food device and decent coffee. You are spoilt for choice in this area. It's nice, but not fantastic.

Excellent service, above & beyond - they were happy to bring our coffees outside because we had a dog with us and were reluctant to have takeaway cups.

A lovely spot for lunch on top of Mount Macedon well worth the trip. I had the veggie toastie and my husband had the burger we were both impressed. Lovely food and well presented taking the extra effort, the coffee was good nice and hot which I like. The day was sunny but I think it would be nice to visit in any weather. Friendly service, the place was very busy but our meals arrived promptly.
