German Backhaus - Mount Plymouth

Excellent products! Once you start enjoying their breads, you'll find it hard to eat anything else, though availability can be limited. The staff is also very friendly!

This charming little bakery offers a delightful selection of fresh bread (though most was sold out during my pre-holiday visit), along with breakfast and lunch options, pastries, cakes, and various German items like meats, cheeses, and spices. Parking was a bit challenging due to the busy road, with only a few designated spots for Backhaus, but it was worth the effort—the streusel was excellent! I also wish they had some eggnog cake available to try. Overall, a fantastic local gem!

Just outside downtown Mount Dora, you'll discover this charming and wonderful spot. My sister and I always look forward to visiting whenever we're in town. They offer fantastic baked goods!

This small shop is absolutely brimming with delicious treats. We sampled a variety of pastries to enhance our holiday celebrations, and I must say, the bee sting and the streusel were my top picks. We also bought a selection of sausages for some afternoon charcuterie snacking. There are so many delightful discoveries here that I can't possibly list them all, and I even came across a few hidden gems that I won't mention for fear that others will snatch them up before I get the chance to enjoy them again! :-D
