Bidra med feedbackThe food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I absolutely loved it! I’ll definitely be returning before the end of the week.
I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and found it to be quite busy. We waited about 10 minutes before getting seated and ordered mentaiko pizza, hamachi carpaccio, agedashi tofu, and unagi meshi. The hamachi carpaccio was fantastic—I really enjoyed the citrusy sauce served with it. The agedashi tofu was average; nothing particularly memorable about it. I would recommend skipping the mentaiko pizza, as it lacked flavor and was quite doughy. However, our favorite dish was definitely the unagi meshi. The eel added a tremendous amount of flavor to the rice, and the clay pot made the rice perfectly crispy. This dish was the highlight of our meal, and we couldn't stop thinking about it afterward! Most of our orders arrived fairly quickly, although the unagi meshi took longer. The restaurant was busy, and the servers were a bit unresponsive, so we had to flag someone down to check on our dish. Overall, I would definitely return to explore their other clay pot rice offerings. It seems like a fun place to go with friends and share several dishes.
I always have a great experience at Gochi! In my opinion, their clay pot dishes and karaage are among the best around. The salads are also delicious. Just keep in mind that they limit your dining time to 1.5 hours, so it's a good idea to do some research ahead of time or make quick decisions to make the most of your visit. The nice thing about this location is that they accept reservations for up to six people, which is perfect if you want to avoid waiting for a table.
This is a small cozy place with a creative take on Japanese cuisine. Loved the floor type seating tables and the service was quick and helpful. We were all vegetarians and we loved everything we tried here: Mushroom tempura: Tasted amazing. Contrary to tempura I 've tried at some other places, this tasted great and didn 't feel oily or greasy at all. Really well made and the matcha salt and lime definitely elevated this to the next level Miso pizza: Really creative take on the Japanese tofu miso platter in the form of pizza. Would have loved for the miso/umami flavor to be a bit more dominant than the cheese, however this was still a solid 8/10. Risotto Croquette: Really good, but was missing the Japanese flavor here. All in all it was a great experience, would have loved it if they add a few more options like sushi to their menu. Also, would be really great if the claypot rice can be offered as a vegetarian option as well. Would highly recommend this place for small groups of you 're in to try something different.
Very interesting place! I like the ambiance but the food odd slightly overpriced for what it is. We got their carpaccio and clay pot. I think they charge $2 for broth for the clay pot and I highly highly recommend!
