Cok Cai Yen - Muar

This traditional Chinese vegetarian restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant also has a cafe bar, where the food is both delicious and flavorful.

This is the only vegetarian restaurant we could find in Muar out of the 3 listed. It is a bit of a walk to Jalan Abdul Rahman, but it is doable. The restaurant is not far from the corner, just look for the vegetarian sign. They offer a variety of cooked options with white rice, standard foods found in this type of eatery. They also have cooked meals available to order, maybe more suited for dinner than for lunch but still good. The host is very friendly and welcoming, although they may not speak much English. There is an air-conditioned section where you can relax. A large plate plus a small soy milk costs 4.50RM. They close at 3 o'clock, so they are not open all day as listed. I give it 4 stars because it serves its purpose well.
