Tonino and Wine Bar - Murrieta

This is our second visit and Tonino Restaurant and Wine Bar is our local favorite. The food is always good, great environment, and best of all Tony is a great host! Looking forward to our next visit!

Arrived 6:20 for 6:30 reservation. waited check in desk for 5 minutes before being helped, asked if we wanted to wait in cold outside, I told them I had reservation thru open table, never asked for name or even checked me in. waited near bar area, nowhere to sit since bar was filled with wine bottles. A Mon daughter arrived 10 minutes after us, Group of 5 arrived 20 minutes after us, and they both were seated before us! Everyone we saw getting seated weren't even getting served, so after another 10 minutes we decided this was not the place for us and left.

Excellent food with even better service. The owners personally welcome you to the restraint and make you feel welcome.

People with reservations waited as much as two hours. They sold out of some of their limited holiday items. We waited a very long time for everything! Our waitress merely took our order then never returned. Owner said the additional wait was going to be 15 minutes, he never warned anyone they were 2 hours late. My food was gross. Back up staff were rude. Do not go on a holiday. This place was unprepared, understaffed and I'll equipped to handle the number of reservations they took. They would be wise to reduce that number by two thirds next year. We may never go back. Which would be sad because when we have gone before, it was pretty good.

We went in for lunch because we had heard so many good things about Toninos. The owner is very friendly and helpful with the menu. Gnocchi de Momma, Shrimp Rissoto, lamb chops and the bread. It's all as good as I had in Italy. We are definitely going back and recommending to friends.
