Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant used to be fantastic, but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. We were seated directly beneath a faulty ceiling fan that was precariously supported by a combination of a table, a chair, another chair, a large bucket, and a piece of wood with protruding nails. I’d be surprised if this setup complies with safety regulations. To make matters worse, our server was unhelpful. It was hard to tell if she simply dislikes children or if her demeanor reflects a general disdain for people, as there was nothing welcoming about her attitude. She made us feel like a burden and seemed clueless about our orders. The food was mediocre at best. We won’t be returning.
My family and I visit Topsail every year, and this restaurant has become a staple for us during our trips. The atmosphere and setting are fantastic, and the large windows provide a beautiful view of the ocean, adding to the overall dining experience. The food is exceptional, ranging from fried seafood to delicious main courses. The Shrimp Appetizer is a particular highlight! I highly recommend this restaurant; it’s undoubtedly the best place to eat in Topsail.
Overall, my experience was disappointing. While the ambiance had potential, my steak was overcooked; I had requested it to be medium, but it came out well done. The restaurant itself was quite warm, and we overheard other guests asking for adjustments to their orders only to be told it was not possible. Additionally, our drinks remained empty for a long time, and two of the staff members were somewhat rude during our interactions. We also ordered crab dip to take home, but it was packaged in aluminum foil, which made it difficult to reheat. All in all, it wasn't worth the visit.
Magnificent sea view and very picturesque for a high-time ceremony and recipe and good food. the high-time coordinator is also part of the banquet staff, so $800 is too much for this service, otherwise price is fair. there was no coordination between dj and brautparty processional with regard to timing and music. they also forgot the coffee and tee service. we discussed a toast and I accepted champagne, but it was not understood/ although they did not charge me for it, so I take some responsibility. Email the owner and manager without answer to the missing coffee and tea service and bad wedding coordinator service without answer!
Our group ordered the shrimp and grits, California burger, one seafood platter with flounder and oyster and the second with flounder and shrimp. Thankfully the flounder and shrimp comes broiled or fried but the oysters only come fried. You can?t mix the two ways of preparation. So any oyster combination must be fried. The place was quite busy. It was going to be a 45 min wait so we went to the bar. It seemed that it still took that long to get our food. The wait staff did their best to get to each table. Our waitress noticed that only 3 of our dinners had been served and asked if the 4th dinner had been mentioned as if were it not already promised to arrive soon, she was going into the kitchen to raise hell. The food was perfectly cooked and with lots of butter taste. I thought, based on the size of the menu, they had a good variety, even a vegan burger.
