Izakaya Hie Hakuba Japanese Sake Foods

The atmosphere is very home. We have booked a small stand for out table, super comfortable and warm on a cold winter night! At the ceiling it looked like there was a plane propeller on the top that was interesting. Staff are also super friendly, the service was great! Everything we ordered was delicious! Ibuigakko with the cream cheese is my favorite!! It's very good for God's sake!!

Authentic Japanese cuisine and excellent service in a cozy izakaya atmosphere. The menu is available in English and offers a variety of options from sushi to yakitori. We had the smoked duck, the Japanese beef sushi and the sushi plate. All three were delicious and if we weren't so full, we would have ordered more, the whole food that went into the tables looked so good! We had no problem walking in / sitting for two, but it is quite small and was completely full when we went, would recommend reservations for larger groups.

Great food, good service, excellent value. The restaurant is small and due to COVID they are using a website for ordering. You’ll be given a QR code to scan to access the website. It works well because it also translates the dishes into English. My favorite was the fried potato salad. All of the yakitori was also great. The tuna and avocado was also really good! They take both cash and credit card.

A very popular izakaya restaurant which you MUST make reservation or you will only return with disappointment. There is no hope for walk-in opportunity as all customer will show up on time. People do not mind to wait outside even if they arrive earlier than their booking to make sure they can get the table. You need to read their chef recommendation menu before the ordinary ones as you will always get surprise. For their wagyu beef sushi, they use a piece of thin A4 wagyu beef wrapped on top of the sushi rice roll. It is cooked in front of you by a burner such that the beef fats is soaked with the rice and so delicious. Another must pick will be the vegetable tempura which you will feel regret if you miss to order. All other foods are delicious with fresh ingredient. The restaurant is filled with great atmosphere and you are served by their very nice and friendly staff. In any case, you need to be co-operated with the restaurant and your group must arrive on time. Only two hours are offered to every reservation and you will be asked to check the bill around ten minutes before time’s up.

Delicious!! OMG if you come to Hakuba, this is one of the restaurant that you need to make a reservation for 2 days in advance just so you know! The food is fresh and in a good proportion, not so pricey but not cheap also. Menu is in English and the people here can understands you well ... if u can speak Japanese or at least English. But a bit tight, my crew have to squeeze in to a very small room with one table and have to sit on the floor.. not a good seating ! but you will manage to look pass it... because the food was quick and so....GOOD! Wow! Really!!
