Best Chinese restaurant on the island! Good portion, good taste and friendly staff.

So avoid this restaurant if you want delivery - not even joking! Get this...I called to order delivery to my hotel. I ordered two dishes and was about to consider a third one but then thought that was enough food for one person. The person on the phone tells me "if you order $35 you get free delivery" but since it's only me eating I figure two dishes are enough and I'll just pay a delivery fee which is usually $5.00.So I tell the person on the phone that I'll just take the two dishes and I ask for a total including delivery, and she tells me instantly it's $35.00.I'm stumped so I ask how two dishes totalling $19.50 including tax could come to $35.00? Wait for it.......she says $"35.00 minus $19.50 is $15.50, so that's the delivery charge." So...there's a moment of silence because I'm thinking this call is being recorded as a joke or something. When my voice returns...I say "ummm what? you can't charge $15.50 for delivery, that's almost the amount of the food and tax"! To which I'm told "that's how it works here."So...avoid this restaurant because they either rip you off for delivery or the staff have no clue what they're taking about - both which offer no reassurance that you'll have a decent food experience from Mandarin House!

Good food and Service. Tried the Bubble Tea .. Buffet was little off beat .. but it's fine. Hoping they could replinsh the food on timely basis. Rest everything was great. Washroom to be taken Care

Living in Winnipeg and travelling for work, I have an opportunity to dine in several restaurants and try different things.I have been a fan of the Mandarin House when I used to live here in Nanaimo and often went there for the Singapore Noodles. The dish is fairly priced and it's an abundance of flavours with the right amount of heat to the dish. The two young girls who I believe are sisters and part of the family provide an excellent setting for this restaurant, they are hospitable and attentive to your needs.I would recommend the Singapore Noodles among other dishes.
