Rocking Horse Pub - NANOOSE BAY

Short staffed when we went but terrific service otherwise. Hearty meals perfect for a wet and cool day. Daily specials start after 5pm (except the fish and chips). Casual atmosphere with plenty of locals hanging out at the bar. Plenty on tap and variety of home cooked and pub meals.

Awesome atmosphere, awesome food!! Was visiting the island and went here for lunch. Had the best beef dip ever. Our waitress provided great service.

Good food and prices. Service was a bit on the slower side today. Got a side of water and it tasted like there was booze in the water.

My husband is Aussie and he's always searching for a proper good pub that really feels like a pub. These are hard to find but the Rocking Horse is his pub gem. We've had some of the BEST onion rings there, they always have nice beers on tap, and the interior is just as nice as the exterior as long as there weather is cooperating. And while the menu could use an update and maybe a few more veggie options (my own biased opinion) it's still our favorite pub in mid island. Service was great, it was super fast even though there was a sign out front apologizing for kitchen delays. And finally, what a great pub name right!?

Had the best experience at the Rocking horse. fantastic music great atmosphere unbelievable service, food was incredible big thank you to the chef for the prime rib perfectly cooked and was excellent, and a Guinness well poured. can't wait to come back
