The Lantern - Naperville

Terry operates an outstanding bar! Although we don’t reside in Naperville and only come by a few times a year, it feels like we’re regulars. The beer is served icy cold, the Bloody Marys are amazing, and the food is delicious! It’s always one of our essential stops whenever we’re in Naperville.

This classic dive bar tends to get quite crowded on weekends. Its long, narrow layout can make navigating through the crowd a bit challenging when it's busy. However, drink prices are fairly reasonable for Naperville, and most of the patrons are in their twenties. Finding a seat can be tricky when the bar is at full capacity.

This is exactly the kind of place you hope to discover when you're exploring a new town for the first time and only have a few days to enjoy it. The music is lively, the regulars are animated, the beer is ice-cold, and the bartenders are warm and welcoming. If you like excellent chili and a very, very good cheeseburger, 'The Lantern ' is the place to go. Their prices are reasonable for the products including the cold beer. Oh, I almost forgot, they have free fresh popped popcorn. Great place to bring the family too!

No wine list, but definitely a great, great place to grab a drink in downtown Naperville. Quality atmosphere and a wonderful crowd for a Wednesday night!
