Chinahouse - Narva

We went with the whole my family to this restaurant for celebration. I suggested this restaurant because I remember that I enjoyed food and experience there many years ago (12? . My grandmothers were a bit apprehensive because they are unfamiliar with this cuisine but I reassured them that everything will be okey. When we came there, we waited for the menu and got only 3 of them, even though there was 8 of us. We never got more even though there was not so many people. It took a while for us all to choose the dishes. We waited for a while to get drinks, but only half of us got them. Then, food started to arrive, one dish, then another dish, with long intervals in between. The food was getting cold, and our waitress was not sure which dish is what when we asked. It took forever to get every single dish. Some people ate their meals and wanted to leave, while others had to wait for their drink and food to arrive. Overall, the food was okey for my family. I loved my meal, but one of my relatives was really disappointed by the dish and the service. I had to convince her not to make the complaint. Overall, it was very awkward and unpleasant experience, even though it was meant to be a celebration. There was no music, TV was off... Also, the waitress did not speak English, unfortunately. I know it's hard to be the only waitress. I hope that the restaurant will train their staff that food should be brought for all guests at the same time, the same with drinks, and that all guests should get menu. Additionally, the second waitress/waiter would help a lot. The experience we got that day is 2 stars surely, but I give extra star for the food it was abundant.

Meh. The food was okay at best, but the prices weren’t adequate. Also it isn’t a real chinese restaurant/place, it’s just a russian place with russian flavouring.

What kind om restaurang are Shinok oü, or was in june 1992 when I visited it (if it was the place I visited, i don't know). Was it an combined restaurang and bar which had an small disco-floor? This words is for that time i june 1992 when we desperate seached for a place to eat. I'm able to delete my information if it wasn't the place I visited at that time.

This is actually the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The garlic bread was by far the best food we had and that says enough about this place. In the end they said we didn't pay everything (we paid separately) but actually we did. As we had to catch a bus we just paid and left. At home we looked it up again and on the bank account it said that we paid this dish as well.

Very small portions, don't believe waitress. Food was cold... Sauce tastes old. From all Chinese restaurants that was worse.
