Bidra med feedbackO-Ku is amazing! All we had here tasted amazing. This alone would have done for a great night, but our server Luke went beyond and beyond! He really made it special and had great recommendations. The cocktails were great and the Playboy reel is an attempt here. 10/10 for more
So so great! The ambience is phenomenal. Service great. Food amazing especially the fried cauliflower and Oku rockin shrimp. Also tried the espresso martini Highly recommend for date night, special occasions, birthdays, girls night out etc.
The sushi is very good. Not the best I’ve had but I’m also using sushi from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market as the standard. So for a landlocked region of the country, this is about as good as you can expect without exorbitant prices. The biggest indicator is they make the sushi rice correctly. Sushi nerds know the meaning of the word sushi is actually “sour rice” usually with vinegar, and garnished with fish. In other words, rice is actually the main attraction of sushi and fish is the garnish, meant to enhance the rice. 90% of places mess that up. This place actually got it right. I had the “chirashi ichiban” or more commonly known as the sushi bowl. Very good and highly recommended. Also had the O-Ku Rock shrimp, chicken Yakitori, salmon and Otoro (fatty tuna) sushi. O-Ku shrimp was good but it’s typical fried food decorated with A Japanese flare. Good to try once but wouldn’t recommend it otherwise. The Yakitori, however, stole my heart. It’s grilled with 1 little stalk of scallion which just made the entire skewer pop. I can probably have an entire meal of that over rice, it’s that good. Also had the Tennessee Two Step, Buckle Up, and Playboy rolls. Definitely recommend Tennessee Two Step and Buckle Up, especially the Buckle Up. It was surprisingly good. Be warned, it’s slightly spicy. Not super spicy but people have different tolerances. Playboy has too many flavors going on and they clash a bit. Try it as an experiment but…..not my favourite. The “Dragon God” sake stole the show for me though. The flavor description say it’s got “fresh fruits and Lychee, with a hint of sweetness”. Okay…..that is a bit too poetic for me but it has sweetness with the hints of bright fruitiness to it. Paired beautifully with the food or to just drink. This place is not cheap. It’ll cost you a few pennies but there is clearly a level of effort and experience in this establishment. It’s well decorated, great ambiance, and great for a night out or dates. Definitely worth going to overall.
Went for a surprise birthday dinner, our reservation was booked on the wrong day but the hostess worked us in. The ambiance is modern and well decorated. Our server was amazing and went over the menu in depth. We tried specialty rolls, sliders, sashimi, sake, and dessert cocktails. All delicious and not too bad of a bill!
Just one word for this place . AMAZING! It was our anniversary and we were greeted by two glasses of champagne. Really adorable It is super fancy , super busy but you go here for the experience and the delicious sushi options They have plenty of Sake options and chef specials. Make sure you get the recommendations of the server because they can cater to your tastes . We got the Black magic and the salmon sagnoi both were lovely and delicious. We also did get the corn street style starter which was good . Make your reservation before hand . Highly recommended!! This place has an outdoor patio if you have furry friends along and obviously the super fancy indoors as well.
