Nicky's Mexican - Natchitoches

Eat here. Everything we had was delicious, with generous portions. Everything we saw on other tables also looked delicious, but we didn 't share. -1 star for using the language barrier to upsell us on appetizers after we had already ordered. (We thought we were answering for condiments on the nachos, not ordering additional items.

Nice little restaurant just off the highway. Service was great! We stopped right at 5 so it really wasn’t busy. I had the fish tacos, although good, seemed like it was missing something. The taco was just a piece of grilled fish on a soft taco shell. No sauce or any other condiments. Came with your regular beans, rice and a guacamole salad.

The food at Nicky's is fresh and authentic. The nachos are wonderful. Get the chili rellenos with cheese. The street tacos will make you want to come back for more.

I am from a Texas border town. I know my Mexican food. Nicky's served good food. The service was outstanding and quick. The servings were large and the food was fresh and warm when served. Our server checked several times during the dinner to see if anything was needed. It was a nice dining experience. The restaurant and bathroom were clean.

Be sure to try the White Queso; the cheese dip is fantastic, and they have the best roasted ice cream I've ever tasted. This is the best Mexican food in Natchitoches! My mom's favorite is the Ankle Enchiladas, while I really enjoy the Chimichanga and the Fajitas.
