Riverside Fish And Chips - Nehalem

Mouth watering food. Unfortunately they lack in communication and customer service. 40 minute drive to be turned away from the window twice. “We don’t take orders past 5:30”. Would’ve been good to know. Last I was told was 6pm! ??

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The atmosphere and location are ideal for savoring some amazing fish and chips. The batter on the fish was excellent, but the standout was the beer-battered fries. While the fish was fantastic, those fries were among the best we’ve ever tasted. If you find yourself in the area craving a great meal, you won't be disappointed!

Hate to make it busier!!!! But can’t help it, food and service is incredible.

The cod was perfection. The chips were perfection. The coleslaw was delicious. The tartar sauce was delicious. An absolute treasure of a place.

Perhaps we will try again on another visit to the coast. However, the owner did respond, asking for understanding and claiming that customers like us harass their staff all day. We did not come to cause trouble; we were simply tired and hungry from our travels and looking forward to enjoying some local cuisine. We wouldn’t have wasted our time visiting if we’d known your hours were misrepresented. A more accurate posting might be: "OPEN until we feel like closing" or "CLOSED when we’ve served enough for the day." I have adjusted my rating to one star.
